WHICH DETERGENT TO RESPECT BABIES' SKIN?

QUELLE LESSIVE POUR RESPECTER LA PEAU DES BÉBÉS ?

As we know, the arrival of a baby in a family generally causes major upheavals, even in the choice of detergents! How to effectively clean your small clothes without damaging your skin? What are the good reflexes to know to be sure to choose the right detergent? Discover all our advice on the subject.

As you probably imagine, the skin of babies, fragile, is not yet ready to face the external aggressions that it can undergo on a daily basis. To avoid redness and irritation, it is therefore important to pay particular attention to any textile in contact with these little bits (and more generally any sensitive skin).

Taking care of it means paying attention to it on a daily basis, right up to the laundry room, as you will have understood. But nothing rocket science, don't worry!

DETERGENT AND SENSITIVE SKIN: COMPATIBLE!

To start, wash your clothes and any other textile directly after purchase, in order to eliminate as many dyes and substances as possible that are toxic to the body. In addition to preserving your skin, this will add your olfactory signature. Two birds with one stone !

Then, of course, choose a suitable detergent. And there is no need for a “baby special” mention. Indeed, this guarantees nothing more than a product that respects sensitive skin. Make sure to avoid preservatives, colorings, antioxidants, allergens as much as possible.

Another ingredient, often unsuspected, can also be at the root of irritation: enzymes. Each type of enzyme makes it possible to dissolve a certain type of stain, which is why we often find a small cocktail of these molecules to facilitate the anti-stain action of your detergents. Useful, you might say... but many of these enzymes are irritating and sensitizing, and should therefore be avoided.

In addition, limit the use of fabric softeners: a good part of them contain substances that are undesirable for sensitive skin. Instead, use white vinegar, which dissolves the limestone contained in the water, thus preventing it from settling on the linen and making it rougher. White vinegar also has the advantage of being an antiseptic.

Finally, prefer long rinsing cycles, in order to eliminate as many residues as possible of the different products from your textiles.

PIKOC AND THE SENSITIVE SKIN BOOST

At Pikoc , we have a concept that is close to our hearts: that of softness.

This is why from the development of the brand in 2017, we have made every effort to respect the most sensitive skin, and even that of babies. It is by taking into account these undesirable effects that we have formulated our range of detergents without preservatives, without dyes, without antioxidants, without phthalates, without enzymes (but full of pleasure!), while limiting the use of sensitizers.

Organic aloe vera is at the heart of the formula of our detergents composed of more than 90% ingredients of natural origin. This plant, recognized for its dermo-protective properties, will come to the aid of sensitive skin that struggles to find the right detergent. The icing on the cake, it will help you naturally keep your laundry soft as on the first day, thanks to its softening properties.

As a bonus: know that our Orange Blossom laundry detergent will be the most suitable for babies' skin. Indeed, its fragrance is hypoallergenic: the opportunity for you to combine pleasure and softness. You can therefore entrust us with his cuddly toy with your eyes closed!
